With the signing of South African upcoming artist Serati, Panamusiq closes its circle and is now representing music acts from the key regions of Sub-Saharan Africa: East, Central, West and South.
Serati Maseko is a singer, songwriter, guitar player, blogger and model. She hails from Alexandra Township.
Serati has previously lived in the UK where she did her high school. For two years she studied music and piano, which was her first love.
It was in the UK where her musical awakening took place, going through many different phases of musical interest. Coming back to South Africa, playing the guitar became her outlet for songwriting. She began writing poetry and took up vocal training. Her primary instrument is her voice, and that is where her strength lies, followed by her songwriting.
Her first recorded song "Hurt So Good" was release in original and remix version. The latter features Gino Brown and it's an house remix.
Serati has performed at such events as Rhythm and Poetry, Ram Jam, Word N Sound, My First Time Art Exhibition, The Annual Soweto Camp Festival 2016, The Bannister Hotel’s Basement Sessions, Wolves Café and Winnies Soul and Jazz Restaurant.
Artists who have influenced her singing and writing style include Tracy Chapman, Miriam Makeba, Lauryn Hill and Sade. Her sound can be described as Folk-Afro Soul, with vocals influenced by American soul artists of old, and her story telling, folk-like songwriting style.

After the successful release of “Utanifaa” ft Emmagripa in November 2016, Tanzanian leading female live artist Grace Matata is presenting an even stronger music project which aims at taking her brand to the attention of the international audience.
“Dakika moja” (one minute in Swahili) is a collaboration with Tanzanian top rapper Wakazi and is a unique blend of Soul, R&B and Hip-hop whit a distinctive ’90s sound that makes this song a real “feel good” track.
The song is produced by Innocent from Tanzania and it is released today in conjunction with its music video that has been directed by Italian director and producer Simone Pecorari aka “UQ”.
The video was shot on the magnificent Fanjove private island off the shores of Southern Tanzania in the Songo Songo archipelago.
“Dakika moja” is released after an heavy two weeks pre-release plan that has seen the song been played exclusively from radios across Africa and the UK.

The pre-release schedule included also an audio streaming exclusive with BoomPlay Music two days ahead of the official release, a video launch event at Samaki Samaki in Dar es Salaam and a video premiere on the leading Pan African music network Soundcity TV.

After releasing her latest single "Give it to you" in April this year and featuring in the song "Vumilia", released in early July by Kenyan rapper Prezzo, the Kenyan songstress signs a 2 albums deal with American label Kult Records.
Kult's founder and CEO, Lilla Vietri, was striken by Chess' powerful voice when she received a copy of "Give it to you", a club banger dancehall tune produced by Dr. Sappy. Immediately, the potential for the song to cross over into the dance/house genre was evident to Ms Vietri who, after signing Chess to her label, appointed a number of international producers to make few remixes of the song that will be released in September with an EP. A video re-edit of the original work directed by Johnson Kyalo will also form part of the EP release.
KULT Records (www.kult.com), with multiple number 1’s on the Billboard Dance Chart, is a well respected and internationally known underground independent record label specialized in House Music and a catalogue of over 50,000 songs. The label was founded in 1994 and it is based in NYC, USA.
The planned release schedule for Chess under the American label forsee a new single after the release of the remixes EP of "Give it to you", followed by an Album in 2018 and another one by 2020.

Panamusiq continues its Pan African expansion by signing French/Nigerian artist 36 States on a long term contract.
Louis Edet Otioro aka 36 States is an incredibly versatile French/Nigerian artist influenced by the kind of Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Jimmy Cliff and Shaba Ranks. He is a full-round artist. Writer, composer, singer and performer always looking for new sounds between modernity and tradition, Europe and Africa.
His artistic name is a reference to his native country, Nigeria, that is a confederation of 36 states which he almost travelled all in his youth with his mother.
His nomadic style of life between France, UK and various African countries, illustrates his musical influences. His years spend in Paris were full of musical collaborations with French artists and indeed he sings in both English and French. The list of artists he has worked with includes Alibi Montana and Disiz.
In 2004, 36 States produced also “Hey! Toi l’Américan”, the soundtrack of French comedy movie “L’Americain” directed by Patrick Timsit.
The lyrics of this citizen of the world often talk about the problems of world (i.e. child soldiers) but he never forget how precious is life.
36 States also cares about the future of young African artists. Thus, he created the STATES PRODUCTION Label in Guinea Conakry after a journey in this country in 2006. Through his label, he tried to share his knowledge with the artists of tomorrow by providing them with production, promotion and management services. By setting-up the recording studio "Studio 36 States", he was also aiming at the development of his artists’ musical careers.
36 States has one Album released, "My Introduction", and various high profile performances at concerts and festival across Europe and Africa.

Panamusiq has signed Tanzanian live act and musician Grace Matata on a long term management contract.
Grace is a 2015 Kilimanjaro Music Awards nominee and afro-soul & RnB singer/songwriter from Tanzania.
She describes her music as “a unique blend of Swahili soul, RnB and jazz with a special touch of poetry and light, heartwarming melodies”.
Grace has garnered not only a considerable but also loyal fan base notably after dropping her single “Free soul” which shook the airwaves and made her a force to be reckoned with. She released her first critically acclaimed album entitled Nyakati in 2013. Some of her other successful singles include “Wimbo”, “Uwe wangu”, “Hello” which she collaborated with Maua Sama and “Tabibu” which is a duet with another Tanzania’s beloved bongofleva/zouk songbird, Mwasiti. Her latest release, “Utanifaa”, got ranked high in many radio charts across Tanzania and East Africa.
Since then, she went on to create a living legacy as one of very few Tanzania live performing female musicians. In this respect she has put together an impressive 4 elements band and has shared the stage and collaborated with A-list musicians such as Lady JD, Didier Awadi (Senegal) and Wyre Lovechild (Kenya).
Some of the highlights of her career were performing at the DoaDoa 2016 in Uganda, Zanzibar Beach & Watersports Festival in 2015 and the Zanzibar International Film Festival in 2014.
Grace is currently working on her second album and her home base venue is Samaki Samaki in Dar es Salaam where she performs weekly on Sundays.

Panamusiq, the Tanzanian based PanAfrican management company, is strengthening its management team with an high profile entry: Mr Gulu Ramadhani Nanji.
Gulu, aka Dj Guru and G-Lover, is a pioneer in managing artists in Tanzania. Among the acts that he has nurtured from their very early stages we count the kind of Ali Kiba, Dully Sykes, Mr Blue, Queen Darleen, Baby J and Bob Junior to name few.
He is the founder of New Jack Family the very first DJ Academy and artist management company in Tanzania. In 2002 he also founded G-Recordz and later G-2, Sharobaro Records and G-Projects. Between 1996-2006 he has been Djing and presenting in many radio stations across Tanzania, including Clouds FM, Radio 1, East Africa Radio, Magic FM, Times FM and Coconut FM in Zanzibar.
In 2006 he founded Bomba FM in Zanzibar which, as of today, is the largest commercial radio in Zanzibar and Mbeya.
It is very recent news that Gulu has left Bomba FM to go back to his passion of nurturing African artists and found in Panamusiq a perfect match for his objective.

Panamusiq signs Cameroonian singer Pierre Bae.
PIERRE BAE aka “MBOADIVA” is a female singer, TV/Radio presenter, event’s host and songwriter from Cameroon, who started her music career in 2016 with new African rhythms (Afro pop and Afro house). This young singer chooses to write songs in several languages such as French, English and Pidgin. She brings a special touch in the Cameroonian and African music industry, in the sense that she wishes to teach irrefutable values of life (personal development, work, loyalty and many others) to young people who believe they are far from the social success.
In June 2013 she started her path in getting to know the secrets of the African showbiz by venturing as a TV/Radio presenter and event organizer.
She participated in organizing cultural events such as the MBOA LIVE SHOW, MBOA URBAN AND REVOLUTION and KAMER STREETWEAR MUSIK (that she hosted alongside her mentor Tony Nobody).
She also presented the “TOP 10 ZIK” on MBOA (musical entertainment program broadcast on a national television channel widely watched in Cameroon) and often made to interview guests on the show. She also presented the show Radio Bled city on SWEET 88.7 FM, along with the group of young BLAXITY communicators.
In 2016 Pierre made her first step into the recording studio where she gave light to her debut single “Danser”, a song that is a statement of her powerful voice.

Some African music history is in the making.
After months of preparation, Tanzanian newest act Kioo have released their debut EP album #NachukuaTime. This is the first time an African artist debuts with an EP album instead of the more traditional single.
Husna and Hawa Mkungo aka Kioo is a duo female act that was discovered by Panamusiq in mid 2015. Kioo in kiswahili means mirror as the two girls are identical twins.
After few months of vocal training with Tanzanian best coach, Tony Joett, Kioo started recording this EP album with C9, one of Tanzanian leading producers who is also signed to Panamusiq.
Panamusiq has decided to go for this format of debut release to make Kioo immediately appealing for bookings by club and event promoters.
The tracklist include songs with different sounds and vibes to show the incredible versatility of the twin act. One track, “Hayana Ufundi”, features Bongo Flava superstar Dully Sykes.
Other tracks are: “Unaweza”,”Love me back” and “Nachukua time” which gives the title to the EP album and is also proposed in a bonus acoustic version.
All tracks are written by Kioo and composed and produced by C9. Panamusiq acted as Executive Producer in this project.

Panamusiq’s international expansion is not stopping. Another Kenyan artist has today joined our roster adding more talent and musical genre to it.
Upcoming female singer Chess Nthusi is our new entry and we are thrilled to add this incredible voice to our represented artists. We are confident that her growth inside and outside her national boundaries will be quick and successful.
Chess is a young beautiful versatile talented Kenyan singer, song writer and performer. Her break into mainstream music occurred in 2011 when she signed to Kaka Empire label and recorded “Successful” with Kenyan star rapper Rabbit (now King Kaka) followed by “Haiwessmake” again with the rap music celebrity.
In 2013 Chess had the honour of working on “Celebration Of Life” a project with Prezzo. It was a very successful and it pushed Chess further up the musical ladder.
In 2014 Chess dropped her first single “I am in Love” a love song that did very well and still gets massive airplay. In 2015 Chess dropped her second solo project “Give it to you” with a new and explosive Dancehall sound.
Chess loves to sing, dance and help out the community. She also has a great interest in media, both TV and radio. She got a chance to be the premiere and original host of “Tujuane” on KTN but left after the first season. She also worked as a co host on NTVs “Teen Republik” and most recently on EbruAfrica’s “YConnect”.

Indeed we are delighted to announce the signing of Kenyan AfroPop & Soul master Anto NeoSoul who has entered a long term management contract with the aim of building his brand globally.
Antony Mwangi aka Anto NeoSoul is undoubtedly one of Kenya's finest vocalist and arguably one of Kenya's best singers of all times. His voice range covers three octaves.
A multi award winner and a prolific songwriter, Anto has released plenty of singles and an Album - "Starborn".
Apart from his music talent, ANto gained his celebrity status also through various TV appearences including (MTV) Shuga - Season 1 & 2 alongside Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong'o and more recently he participated to the TV show "Tecno Own the Stage" where he has been mentoring and training some of the contestants.

Tanzanian producer C9 has signed a Production and Co-Publishing Agreement with US company Tunch Tunch Ltd, a subsidiary of Kult Records (www.kult.com). The Agreement provides for the production of a new song with US star Adassa and an option for 10 more songs to be delivered to the US label in the forthcoming months.
The project with Adassa has been produced as part of a submission request from Epic Records (www.epicrecords.com) for their band Fifth Harmony (double Platinum Billboard band with “Worth it” ft Kid Ink). Epic is one of the most famous and reputed label in the world and it’s part of the Sony Music Group. Among the artists signed to Epic, the list includes Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Sade and Pearl Jam.
Adassa (www.adassamusic.com) is a leading US Hispanic act and has high-profile co-writing and cameo appearances with top artists such as Ciara, Pitbull, Missy Elliot, Tego Calderon and many others. Adassa is signed to Kult Records and has a long list of hits including “Kamasutra” ft Pitbull, “Bounce” ft Tarkan, “De Tra”, “Bang Bang” and “Cada Vez Que Te Veo”.

Panamusiq and Tanzania Portland Cement Company Ltd (TPCC), better known for its Twiga Cement brand, have joined forces together to produce a music video of Feza’s latest release “Sanuka” featuring Chege.
Indeed a Product Placement Agreement was sealed at TPCC’s factory.
Product placement is a seamless way of promoting a company or a product by using video clips and other types of media to market a product or a brand.
TPCC is the largest cement producing company in Tanzania with a production capacity of 1.9M tons a year. It is part of the German HeidelbergCement AG Group. The Company was established in 1966 with the principal activity of manufacturing and selling of cement.

Panamusiq is pleased to announce the signing of Tanzanian top producer C9 who has entered a long term management contract with the Dar based music company.
Charles Francis aka C9 is the last born of a Tanzanian family of nine children (hence the artist name C9) and an eminent producer with a long list of hit records in his bag including Mbona Silali (Rich Mavoko), Nakuhitaji and Amerudi (Christian Bella/Malaika Band), Suna (Barnaba), Mtima Wange (Amini ft Linah) and Dudu (Shilole Feat. Q-Chillah).
He started his production career working for Chuchu FM radio in Zanzibar where he was producing ads and jingles. Thereafter he worked at KIRI Records and then decided to set up his own studio called C9 Records.
C9’s recognition for his talent was accomplished in full when he was nominated for Best Producer of the Year at Tanzanian Kili Music Awards in 2013 and 2014.

Tanzanian singer Feza has released this week through Mkito (www.mkito.com) her new single “Sanuka” featuring Chege.
The song was produced by Sheddy Clever of Burn Records who has been producing songs for many Bongo artists, the most notable been Diamond Platnumz and Ben Pol.
#Sanuka is slang for "I'm wide awake" or I've snapped back into reality".
The song is now available for free download on Feza's new SoundCloud handel @FezaKessy
Feza has more releases in the pipeline. More singles and collaborations with Tanzanian and international acts will be announced soon.
